| All five of the Bruins each went 2-2 this weekend at the State Meet in Bakersfield. |
All five qualifying wrestlers won two matches each at the State Meet this weekend in Bakersfield. Advancing the furthest was Lyndell Scarr who fell one match away from making the top 8. Alex Greybill went 2-2, Tim Ditrich 2-2, Jesse Routsong 2-2, and Paul Buchanan also finished 2-2. Ponderosa tied for 44th place with 24 points.
Next up for the Bruins will be Reno Worlds in Reno, Nevada. The tournament is April 9th-11th and the registration cut off is March 25th. -Reno World website |

Saturday night ended very well for the Bruins as they captured two Masters Championships by Lyndell Scarr and Paul Buchanan. Also advancing to the State Meet in Bakersfield were Alex Greybill (5th), Tim Ditrich (6th) and Jesse Routsong (5th). |

The Ponderosa Bruins squeaked out a team championship over Del Oro on Saturday evening at the Divisionals held at Oak Ridge high school. Pondo could only advance four wrestlers to the finals and had to settle for two champions. 12 Bruins advanced on to the Masters meet. |

| Paul Buchanan was 3rd place at the Tim Brown Memorial and is currently ranked 3rd in the Sac-Joaquin Masters at 215 lbs. |
Tim Ditrich placed 8th place at the Tim Brown Memorial and is currently 4th on the team with 26 wins and in 6th with 10 pins. |
Allen Emmons recorded two falls and two decisions on his way to a Lou Encalada tournament championship. |
Gaaret Marinelli is coming off a big weekend where he went 4-0 and won the Lou Encalada tournament at Rodriguez HS. |
