| Sean Melton got a big pin to help the Bruins win their 20th team section title on Saturday. |
| On Saturday the Bruins won their 20th team section title by defeating Del Oro in the finals by a score of 32-22. They found themselves down early as they lost the first three matches. They then rallied back winning four matches in a row to take a slight lead. Ponderosa then won four more consecutive matches in the lower weights and keep the lead from there. Earlier in the day, the Bruins defeated Nevada Union by a score of 48-12. Next up is the SVC league meet at Union Mine next Saturday. The first qualifying tournament on the way to the State meet in Bakersfield. |

Ponderosa took 1st Place at the Lou Encalada Tournament at Rodriguez HS in Fairfield. 1st place went to Routsong, Marinelli, Emmons and Steers. 2nd place finishes went to Greybill, DeMay and Scarr. Ditrich took 3rd place and Nooner placed 4th. |

The Bruins left as the champions at the Tim Brown Memorial by finishing with eight placers. Taking 2nd was Scarr, 3rd place was Buchanan, 4th place was Routsong, taking 5th was Greybill and DeMay, taking 7th was Marinelli and Steers and taking 8th place was Ditrich. |

| Paul Buchanan was 3rd place at the Tim Brown Memorial and is currently ranked 3rd in the Sac-Joaquin Masters at 215 lbs. |
Tim Ditrich placed 8th place at the Tim Brown Memorial and is currently 4th on the team with 26 wins and in 6th with 10 pins. |
Allen Emmons recorded two falls and two decisions on his way to a Lou Encalada tournament championship. |
Gaaret Marinelli is coming off a big weekend where he went 4-0 and won the Lou Encalada tournament at Rodriguez HS. |
